Preview of the Divisions 3, 4 & 5 fixtures to be played on 2 May 2023

Huddersfield RUBC are second in the Division 4 table and are without a match this Tuesday but will be hoping that 3rd placed Kirkheaton Con 'B' can do them a favour by taking some points off leaders Springwood. The Kirkheaton team will not need any further motivation as a good win would see them go top of the early season table.
Another Lindley derby match is in this week's programme with the two club's 'B' teams matching their 'A' teams schedule. This time it is not a top of the table clash as both teams sit on the same points total in mid-table but bragging rights are important and the home advantage for the Liberal Club could prove crucial.
Marsh United 'B' may be in a bit of a false position in the table sitting at the foot having played a game less than the two teams immediately above them who are in direct confrontation when winless Ravensknowle Park host Primrose Hill Lib. Whereas the Marsh United side welcome the unbeaten Almondbury BC 'B' side to their Eldon Road base camp so will need to be on top form to get anything out of the meeting.
The three leading teams in the Division 3 table all boast 100% win records but only one of those three has a home match this week. Leaders Denby Dale will be looking to extend their three-point lead when they host Skel Windmill this Tuesday. Brockholes 'A' and Almondbury Lib are level on points behind the leaders and have to travel to play Slaithwaite and Meltham 'B' respectively this week. Almondbury Lib have the easier-looking task on paper as they take on Meltham 'B' who have not adjusted well after their promotion and await their first win of the season.
The two teams just above Meltham 'B' meet up when Kirkheaton C&BC 'A' host Outlane with both teams still searching for their first wins of the season. Lockwood Con 'B' and Paddock I&C are locked together on the same points total when they meet this week with the loser likely to drop into the relegation mix.
Fantasy League Division 3 favourites, Golcar Lib 'B' had a setback last week losing at Almondbury Lib and will want to bounce back quickly from that when they welcome Huddersfield Recreation Club this week but that would be a reversal of last year when the Recreation Club completed a double over this week's opponents.
Greenhead Park don't have a Division 5 fixture this week offering the B teams of Brockholes and Broad Oak an opening to surge ahead with Brockholes having the advantage of a home game against a faltering Dalton side. Broad Oak have to go to play a very unpredictable New Mill 'B'. The home side lost their first two fixtures 0-9 then overwhelmed Dalton in their latest outing by 8-1 so no one is quite sure which New Mill team is going to turn up on matchday.
Milnsbridge 'B' have won both their fixtures to date and will not be phased by a trip to play bottom-of-the-table Holmfirth 'B' who are still looking for their first win as are second-bottom Kirkheaton C&BC 'B'. They travel out to Hemplow whilst David Brown Sports have a shorter trip to play Netherton Con 'B'.
