Denby Dale drenched

A couple of photographs from Denby Dale on Wednesday with home bowlers trying to clear the green for the Huddersfield Ladies Afternoon League match against Lindley A. The thunderstorm conditions meant that the match had to be abandoned due to lightning and even more standing water on the green. They did their best but the elements won on this occasion. Thank you to Amanda Gray for taking and passing on the photos.

These two photographs prompted me to look up another photo from the 2015 archives of the Denby Dale green when it was under even more water (see below).
