Dave McLean is Division 3 Top Bowler

Dave McLean of Thorpe Green is the Winter League Division 3 Top Bowler and the first winner of the Treasurer's Trophy. Dave won 13 of his 14 matches with an average score of 21-12 which was two more victories than any other bowler. Being the greenkeeper at Thorpe Green, Dave would know the green as well as anyone else and he took full advantage of local knowledge to run out the winner. Congratulations to him.

The Treasurer's Trophy is a perpetual trophy donated by our Treasurer, Bob Haigh. The trophy will go to the Top Division 3 Bowler every year with Dave's name being the first engraving on it. The photo below shows Dave (left) receiving the trophy from Bob prior to the start of the final round of matches of the season on Monday in front of other Division 3 bowlers.
