The 2022 BCGBA County Junior Competition gets underway on Sunday (8 May) with just four counties represented. Yorkshire being one of those four and they play Wales in their first match. The other match sees Staffordshire play Shropshire. The matches have home and away teams with 12 under-18 girl and boy bowlers in each team. The Yorkshire match sees the home leg being played at Broad Oak with the away team travelling to Wrexham for their match and both have a 2.00pm start time.
With so many counties struggling to field 24 bowlers for this competition a new supplementary competition is being held for six-man teams. There are 17 teams entered for this new format competition with matches being played on the same dates as the 12-man competition.
