Derbyshire bowler, Conor Chamberlain, is the 2025 winner of the Cleckheaton Sports Classic after beating West Bromwich based Gareth Gilbert 21-18. Both finalists played six rounds of top bowling with Gareth beating Callum Wraight 21-13 in the semi-final and Conor leaving Simon Coupe behind after a 21-15 win at the same stage.

With 64 bowlers involved it is a massive logistics episode to get the bowlers on the green at the right time and keeping things moving. The format suits a lot of bowlers with the competition being completed in a day, saving repeat journeys for those winning through to the later stages. The £2,100 Prize Fund helps as well of course with £800 of that going to the winner.
