Review of the Division 2 fixtures played on Tuesday 25 November

The last time that Clayton West played Meltham it was the last day of the 2023-24 Division 1 season when Meltham came out on top with a 6-2 victory. Different story this time around with the two teams at opposite ends of the Division 2 table and it was Clayton West's turn to take the points in an 8-0 romp leaving Meltham in dire straits some 17 points from safety, having lost all their matches to date. After only five matches the gap between the two teams is already 30 points and counting as Meltham already looked doomed to be trading their skills at Springwood next year.
Not a good day for the two Lowerhouses teams either with both losing out. The A team were beaten 6-2 by New Mill B who take a firmer grip on the second promotion place and the B side suffer a whitewash defeat to Lindley Lib A who move up two places to third. That just leaves the Milnsbridge A team to take a surprise 6-2 win over Marsh United which included a 55-54 Aggregate For total to take the two bonus points and that is enough to lift them out of the relegation places.
