Clayton West duo in search of 3rd Pairs KO title

With 23 entries in the Veterans League Pairs KO competition there will be a Preliminary Round featuring 14 pairs that have already been drawn and are listed alongside. These 14 pairs will play at Ravensknowle Park this Thursday (11 May) at 1.30pm with the draw being made at the green side on the day. The 7 winners of these ties along with the other 9 byes progress through to Round 1 which will be played at Lindley Lib on Thursday 18 May. Among those in the Preliminary Round are the Clayton West pair of Tim Poulter and Edwin Haigh who have won the title for the past two years which is already a League record and now going for a unique treble.

Entries are down on last season when 30 pairs started out in search of the title. There are four scratch pairs involved in the competition which will conclude with Finals Day on Thursday 1 June which will be played at Almondbury Liberal Club.
