Bistro Round 3 Review

All the ties in Round 3 of the Veterans League Bistro KO went pretty much as expected with the closest encounter being in the all Section 2 tie between Shepley and New Mill 'A' ending 94-92 in favour of Shepley. The 4-point difference in handicap making all the difference on this occasion and Shepley's reward is a Quarter-Final tie against Section 1 side Waterloo.

Two teams failed to field a full 10 in their Round 3 matches, Kirkheaton C&BC 'A' being one and Greenhead Park being the other and that was key in their close 82-94 defeat to Kirkheaton Con 'A'. Golcar Lib 'A' won the only all-Section 1 tie eliminating Clayton West and that means that four of the eight quarter-finalists will come from Section 1 when the teams line-up again in a couple of weeks time.
