Away form to be tested for Division 3 top 3

Veterans League

Preview of Tuesday fixtures in Divisions 3,4&5 of the 10-Man League

The top three teams in Division 3 all have Won-6 Lost-3 playing records this season although there are 8-points separating them and all three have away matches this week. The leaders are New Mill A and they travel to play bottom of the table Holmfirth A who have lost 8 of their 9 matches this season but despite that, remain within reach of safety. Second-placed Linthwaite Hall have won 6 of their last 7 fixtures and remain the biggest threat to the leaders whilst Golcar Lib B have only beaten two bottom four opponents in their last five matches and they meet another of those, Kirkheaton C&BC A, this week.

Struggling Springwood have been in the bottom two all season but a three-match winning run has raised hopes of survival as they go to play a Slaithwaite team who are only 5 points ahead of them in the table. Paddock I&C are also in the range of Springwood and have a difficult away fixture at fourth in the table Brockholes A

The top two teams in Division 4 are locked together on the same points and the same Aggregate For totals and are only separated by the Aggregate Difference totals which places Marsh Lib A at the top of the pile. They have a real challenge away to third-in-the-table Rugby Club this week although they have faltered recently in losing their last three matches. Kirkheaton Con B will look to take advantage of any slip-up by the Marsh team when they play away at Ravensknowle Park, who are a team that hasn't lost a home match since the opening day of the season.

The bottom three teams are only separated by two points and in the middle of that trio sits a Brockholes B team who are the only one of those three teams with an away match this Tuesday as they travel to play at Thongsbridge B who have won 3 of their last 4 matches.

It could be a difficult week for the Division 5 top team, Lindley BC B, as they are the only top five team with an away match this week and that is at 5th in the table New Mill B who have won 3 of their last 4 matches. Second in the table, Netherton Con B, will fancy their chances of narrowing, if not obliterating, their current two point gap between the teams as they host a Hemplow B team who have only won one of their last five fixtures.

The bottom two teams face each other at Marsh Lib as their B team host the only team below them in the table, Almondbury BC B, who haven't won an away match all season. The result of that match could see Holmfirth B drop into the bottom two as they have a difficult away match at third-in-the-table Broad Oak B.
