Thongsbridge has started their defence of this most prestigious national club competition title with a convincing double win over Beaumaris from Anglesey. All the Preliminary Round results are in and Round 1 fixtures are now being scheduled by the teams which must all be completed by 2 July.
Along with Thongsbridge, three other Yorkshire teams remain involved and they are Dearne Sports, Kirkheaton Con and the Littlemoor 'B' team.

1 - Garswood Hall beat Denby Grange by 69 overall, 60 at home and 9 away. 2 - Lloyds Hotel beat Littlemoor A by 12, winning by 35 at home and losing by 23 away. 3 - Adderley beat Birches Head Hotel by 16 overall, winning by 40 at home and losing by 16 away. 4 - Thongsbridge beat Beaumaris by 71 overall, winning by 46 at home and 25 away. 5 - Dearne Sports beat Crossgates by 21 6 - Malpas Sports beat Eastwood Park by 37 overall, winning by 26 at home and 11 away.
