Preview of all the fixtures for Monday 29 August in the 6-Man League

Another big match at the top of Division 1 again this week as the leaders, Shepley 'A', go to third-placed Golcar C&BC who need a win to get themselves back into the title race after last week's 0-7 defeat to Honley Con. Anything other than a decisive victory would surely signal the end of any title aspirations for this season. Meanwhile, Honley Con need to build on that great win from last Monday and stop a run of 4 successive away defeats when they go to relegation-threatened Lindley Lib 'A' this week.
Thongsbridge 'B' need a win at bottom of the table Linthwaite Hall to ease away from the drop zone with Longwood and Lockwood Con also in that picture and needing home wins this week against Crosland Moor and Brockholes 'A' respectively to stay out of danger. Netherton Con's push for honours has gone off the rails with consecutive defeats and this week's home match against Milnsbridge BC really is the last chance saloon for any title bid.

Twelve points clear and four matches to go is the sweet message to Marsh United 'A' and their push for the Division 2 title this season. A home match against struggling Meltham will only strengthen their hand and with their main rival, Skel Windmill 'A', without a match, surely they will be out of sight of any serious threat come Monday evening. Third-place Slaithwaite continue to struggle to field a full team and that could signal the end of their title challenge even at relegation-placed New Mill this week.
The other four teams with fixtures this Monday are all in mid-table, they play each other without any real hopes of going up or dropping down so a couple of social matches in prospect.
In Division 3 Hemplow and Almondbury Lib are both 12 points behind the leaders, Golcar Lib, who don't have a match this week. Both these contenders have away matches on Monday with Hemplow having a difficult-looking encounter at 4th placed Marsh Lib whilst Almondbury will expect to pick up the majority of the points from their trip to bottom of the table Brockholes 'B'.
