Another threat to the Division 1 leaders

Preview of the Division 1 fixtures for Wednesday 19 November at Milnsbridge BC

Last week the Division 1 leaders, Thorpe Green A, shrugged off the threat posed by Hanging Heaton A to retaining their top title. They shook off the challenge from the Division 1 new boys with an emphatic 8-0 win. This week another threat emerges as 2nd-placed Cowcliffe take their 100% win record up against the same Played-3 Won-3 record of the Champions.

Hanging Heaton may respond to defeat like a wounded lion would. Aggressive and very dangerous as they respond to a setback in the only manner they know how, on the attack, and that could end badly for their opponents this week Kirkheaton Con A.

There is also a bottom-of-the-table clash that could end with some blood being spilt as New Mill A take on a Golcar Lib side looking for a first win of the season. The New Mill side is due a change in fortunes which could take them back to the level of the last two seasons when they finished the season in 3rd place both times. Whilst the Golcar Lib team need to find the form that provided them promotion last year and forget about the last time they were in the top division which ended badly for them. That just leaves the mid-table meeting of Lower Hopton and Lindley BC A when the eventual winner will probably claim 4th place in the table.
