The 3rd Round of matches in the Julie Fuller Trophy was played this week and once again there was a team that failed to follow the rules of the competition and so were penalised 5 points. Brockholes 'B' played a bowler that hadn't played 2 qualifying matches for the 6-Man League side so forfeited the additional points and lost the match to Longwood 69-42.
The confrontation of the two 6-Man League heavyweights, Shepley 'A' and Netherton Con, saw the current Section A leaders, Shepley, beat last season's (2019) Champions by 63-40 but they remain mid-table in the latest table (below). Slaithwaite continue to lead the way with another big win 74-37 at Paddock I&C and their third Section A team scalp in the competition.
There is no change in the top 4 with Honley Con, Marsh United and Longwood joining Slaithwaite in the semi-final KO places with one more round of matches still to be played. Golcar Lib (up 7 places to 9th) and Marsh Lib (up 8 places to 14th) were the biggest movers of the week and there is no team playing off Scratch in the top 5 places.
