All today's matches go ahead

Winter League

It has been decided that today's matches will all go ahead as scheduled. An inspection of the Springwood green this morning shows that there is some protection from the winds so the plan is to go ahead and play all the planned fixtures starting from 12noon.

The wind speed forecast has been reduced to 40mph so it will still be blustery but the weather warning has been reduced from Amber to Yellow with the worst not now starting until later in the day. Light rain showers are also expected so come well wrapped up.

Teams are asked to be present prior to a prompt 12noon start as the presentation to Meltham of the Founders' Plate as the Division 2 Champions will be made before the start of play.

It is hoped to follow that with the presentation of the Lily Rose Trophy for the Division 2 Top Bowler but that cannot go ahead until the end of today's matches as the outcome is still to be determined.
