All Lockwood Con Final possible in Team KO

Three Division 1 teams and one Division 3 team will contest the Semi-Finals of the Team KO after yesterday's quarter-finals. The two Lockwood Con teams are in that quartet and in different halves of the draw so a unique A team v B team Final is possible.

The Division 3 side Lockwood Con 'B' (+29 handicap) team completed a hat-trick of wins over teams with the same +23 handicap when seeing off the Division 2 high-fliers Shepley 'A' by 151-138 so didn't need their handicap advantage of 4 to ensure they progressed. They will now take on Cowcliffe in the Semi-Finals who beat Clayton West for the second time in three days.

The last two winners of this competition will meet in the other Semi-Final when 2021 winners Lockwood Con 'A' take on the reigning Champions Golcar Lib 'A'. It was a close call for the Lockwood Con team who edged it past Division 3 side Denby Dale by the closest of margins 134-133 so well done to the underdogs for pushing the Division 1 side all the way. The Semi-Final meeting of two scratch sides came about after Golcar Lib finally overcame their bogey team Marsh United 'A' who had already completed a League double over them so this was especially satisfying for the League leaders.
