6-Man League Ups & Downs

Veterans League

As things stand at present this is the state of play in all divisions of the 6-Man Veterans League as regards titles, promotions and relegations. A Friday 6-1 away win for Lockwood Con at Thongsbridge 'B' was as welcome as it was a surprise and lifted them comfortably out of the drop zone.

6-MAN LEAGUE

Division 1

  • Shepley need 18-points from their remaining 3 matches to guarantee the title

  • Linthwaite Hall are already relegated

  • Lindley Lib 'A' are favourites to go down with them with the maximum number of points they can collect being 65 which leaves 4 other teams within their range

  • Lockwood Con (62pts) need 4 points from 4 matches to avoid relegation

  • Longwood (59pts) need 7 points from 4 matches to avoid relegation

  • Thongsbridge 'B' (64pts) need 2 points from their remaining 3 matches to guarantee avoiding relegation

  • Milnsbridge (64pts) also need 2 points from 3 matches to avoid relegation

Division 2

  • Marsh United 'A' are already promoted and need 6 points from 2 matches to claim the title

  • Skel Windmill 'A' need 16 points from 3 matches to guarantee promotion

  • Mathematically any 2 of the 6 teams in the bottom half of the table could still be relegated with 57 points the current safety target

Division 3

  • Golcar Lib need 5 points from 3 matches to gain promotion and a total of 15 more points to guarantee the title

  • Mathematically any one of the bottom three teams can still get the wooden spoon
