Inevitably over time bowling greens come and go, that is all part of the patchwork of history which has no boundaries. It seems a while since there were any new greens to report on but we have lost a few in recent years. Newsome and Canalside immediately spring to mind with a reminder of the last Veterans League match played at Canalside pictured alongside. But the list of redundant greens is much longer than that and last year we spent some time pulling together a list of greens which were once very much part of the Huddersfield sporting landscape but have since disappeared. That list is reproduced below for your information and should never be forgotten and will prompt some memories for some no doubt.
