Winter League
Four new teams have already put forward their applications to join the Winter League for Season 2. No recruitment of teams has been opened up yet but that hasn't put off teams clammering to join the new league which failed to overcome all the COVID-19 hurdles when eventually abandoning their inaugural season last week.
The new teams are the 'B' sides of three teams that played in the League's opening season - Springwood, Thorpe Green and Rastrick. In addition, an application for a new team from Jackson Bridge has also been received.
Assuming that all the first season teams sign up once again that will take the total number of teams from 14 to 18. With the offer of three more greens available for winter bowling the League believes that it can take up to 40 teams in total so plenty of scope for more applications.
