ALL OUR YESTERDAYS
Twenty-years ago in May 2001 the Yorkshire Merit was won by Graeme Wilson (pictured below) of Elland WMC as he became only the second bowler to win the title in successive seasons since the competition was first introduced in 1895. Graeme defeated County colleague Graham Higgins (Ossett Flying Horse) 21-14 in the final on the Elland C&AC green. After winning the 2000 title Graeme went on to take the BCGBA Merit title as well.
