Selecting the top matches in each of the 5 Divisions to be played on Tuesday 13 September

Div.1: Lindley BC A v Golcar Lib A A match with enormous impact at both ends of the Division 1 table as the leaders visit Lindley BC 'A' with both teams desperate for the points but for different reasons. Golcar Lib 'A' lead the table by just one-point from Kirkheaton Con 'A' and 9-points ahead of Lockwood Con 'A' who have a match in hand. Next week is a bye week for them so they need to consolidate their position at the top before having the day off next Tuesday.
Lindley BC 'A' have won only 3 matches all season, all at home, and 3 of their final four fixtures are at home albeit all against top six teams starting with this week's one against the leaders. It is possible that they could be relegated this week if the results go against them
Div.2: Lockwood Con B v Thorpe Green One of these teams will be relegated from Division 2 at the end of the season. The outcome of this match could decide which will be the loser and which will be the survivor.

Lockwood Con 'B' are 9-points behind their opponents but have played a match less than them but come into the match on a run of 9 consecutive defeats whereas Thorpe Green have won 3 of their last 5 fixtures. The Lockwood Con team has finished one place above the drop zone for the last two seasons so maybe they have seen this coming and maybe it is time to drop a level, regroup and come back stronger or maybe it is time for a great escape. Time will tell, which makes this week's clash all the more enthralling.
Div.3: Holmfirth A v Linthwaite Hall We have a top two meeting to look forward to as Holmfirth 'A' host the leaders Linthwaite Hall on Tuesday. The hosts will be looking over their shoulder rather than above them as the Linthwaite side has a 16-point lead at present and it looks like we have three teams competing for the second promotion spot with Holmfirth being one of those. Five points ahead of Golcar Lib 'B' and six ahead of Skel Windmill but having played one match more than both these teams means their current position is very much under threat. Holmfirth have lost 2 of their last 3 matches and they lost the reverse fixture 1-8 back in June and a defeat in this match could see them slip right out of contention.
Div.4: Outlane v Meltham B No doubt about the Match of the Day in Division 4 as we have another top two clash to savour with Outlane only 3 points behind Meltham 'B' and have a match in hand as well as home advantage over the leaders. Outlane are having a tremendous season with 2 of the top 3 bowlers in the Singles Averages for Division 4 and then in the Pairs Averages they have the top 2 bowlers in their division.
Div.5: Hemplow B v Holmfirth B The Wooden Spoon decider looms for these two teams currently separated by a single point at the foot of the table. Hemplow has lost their last 8 fixtures and the last time they did win was last June against this week's opponents by 6-3.
