The Semi-Finals of the 2022 BCGBA Men's Senior County Championship go ahead this Sunday with the Yorkshire team at the penultimate stage defending their title. Matched against the strongest opponents, Warwick & Worcester, with the home leg being played at Whitkirk BC with a 2.00pm start. The away leg is being held at Ye Old Knowle BC, Grange Road, Dorridge, Solihull, B93 8QA.
Over the last 11 competitions staged it has been dominated by these two teams with only North Midlands interrupting that sequence in 2017. Over that period Warwick & Worcester have won the title 7 times and the Yorkshire team on 3 occasions including the latest one in 2021. That was a different format with it being a straight KO competition with Covid restrictions in place. In the other Semi-Final Shropshire take on Lancashire with the two winners progressing to the Final which will be held on Sunday 4 September.
