Yorkshire miss out on BCGBA County title

The Yorkshire Senior Mens County team failed to retain the BCGBA Senior County Champions title after going down in a repeat of last year's Final against the Warwick & Worcester team by 396-442. The W&W Home team won 8 of the 12 games to run out 230-202 winners but that proved to be a step too far for the Away team who lost 166-240 at the Moor Lane BC. By winning 14 of the 24 games the W&W team ran out comfortable winners, so congratulations to them.

Social media activity includes remarks by Yorkshire bowlers about the state of the Moor Lane BC green, one calling it 'a joke'. Such petty remarks show no respect for the winners and have no part in Yorkshire accepting that they were beaten by the better team on the day.
