Works League starting to take shape

League News


The format of the Works League is starting to take shape with a couple of teams withdrawing and it looks like there could be as many as 6 new teams joining for the 2021 season.


Dropping out altogether are Mitre Sports and Paddock Cricket.

New team from Old Cask Inn at Thorpe Green.

Extra team from Lindley BC (Martin Thornton Estate Agents)

AUS Safety Systems extra team (Brockholes BC). Gledhill Motors (Milnsbridge Lib) after a short break want to put a team in.

Huddersfield Catering Engineers Still awaiting confirmation from Paddock I + C.


Some late notices still to come in but it is hoped to start work on the fixtures this weekend so teams are encouraged to contact Geoff Martin before then to confirm their intentions.


Time will not allow for the playing of the Sollis Rose Bowl but the Singles and Pairs KO could go ahead if the teams are prepared to support them.


The opening day of the season is confirmed as Thursday 20 May. .
