Winter Cup Last-28 Draw

The draw for the Round of the Last 28 in the Winter Cup will be made at the Management Committee meeting to be held tomorrow. The full draw will be published on the HuddWeb website at 5.00pm on the same day (Thursday 5 March).

Three clubs have three bowlers in the Last 28 and they are Skel Windmill, Kirkheaton Cons and Netherton Cons. The list below provides the complete list of the 28 qualifiers along with their draw numbers. The first 24 out of the hat will go into the Preliminary Round with the other 4 given byes into the last 16.

How, you may ask, did we end up with 28 qualifiers from the 10 Division-based Qualifying Rounds?. Where there were 16 or more entrants per Division then the last 4 bowlers progressed from each of those Division qualifiers. This applied to Divisions 4, 6, 7 and 10. This was to aid the speedy conclusion of the qualifying rounds with large numbers, as well as rewarding the divisions that showed most support for the competition.

The draw running order will then be applied right through the rest of the competition. This will be shown on the League's Bowlsnet pages after the draw is completed.

The Round of the Last 28 will be held at Huddersfield RUFC from 11.00am on Sunday 29 March where the competition will bowl down to the last 8 bowlers. These 8 bowlers will then progress through to Finals Day which will consist of the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and FINAL. This will again be held at Huddersfield RUFC on Sunday 12 April from 11.00am.

The BCGBA Dress Code (Collared shirts and Black Trousers) will be applied for Finals Day only.
