Winter Cup Champion defends title at Springwood

Lindley BC bowler Steve Haigh will begin the defence of his Winter Cup Champion title at Springwood on Wednesday when he lines up with 21 other entrants in the Division 2 qualifying round with an 11.30am start time. Steve avoids the Preliminary Round involving 12 bowlers and will take on club teammate Karen Rausse in Round 1.

There is one other inter-club confrontation as Lowerhouses pair Dave Sykes and Mick Chapman face each other in the Preliminary Round. It all starts at 11.30am and we are bowling down to four. Refreshments will be available for bowlers and spectators.

The top four bowlers to emerge from this competition will progress through to the Last 20 (four from each of the five division qualifiers) which will be held at Springwood on Wednesday 12 April. From there the last 16 will go through to Finals Day which will be staged at Springwood on Sunday 16 April.
