A message today from the Milnsbridge President, Jim Baxter, welcoming Winter League bowlers back to the green for the 2022-23 Division 1 season.
Welcome back to Milnsbridge for the Winter League bowlers.
Just a quick update on our green as the first winter league matches are scheduled for tomorrow.
All the end-of-summer season maintenance work has gone well and on time. Members have scarified and after the air machine and solid tine including feed and weed, have spread three tons of top dressing to the surface. Patch-over seeding has also been applied.
The recent heavy rain has washed in the top dressing and all that remains is for the green to be cut . Terry Brook will give the green a cut this afternoon or early evening. So all set as far as the green is concerned.
Barbara Peacock and the ladies will collect the green fees, give out raffle tickets and take care of catering. I hope all teams in division one at Milnsbridge have an enjoyable winter season.

The matches start at the earlier time of 11.30am this season and promoted teams Meltham and Lindley Lib 'A' join 6 of last year's 9 Division 1 teams for the new season. Spectators are very welcome and hot food and drink will be available for all.
