Upsurge in Winter Cup entries

There was an upsurge of interest yesterday in the Winter Cup with a further 20 new entries received taking the total to date up to 124.

The first two Division-based qualifying rounds of the Winter Cup are held today at Lockwood Con and Paddock I&C. As at 11.00 pm on Monday there are 16 entries at Paddock and just 7 entries at Lockwood Con. Both venues start at 11.00am with bowlers asked to register with the organiser at each site by 10.45am to allow the draw to take place for a prompt 11.00 start time.

Bowling down to two on each green who will then progress through to the next stage, the Round of the Last 16 at Huddersfield RUFC on Sunday 29 March. The last 8 bowlers will then progress through to Finals Day to be played again at RUFC on Sunday 12 April. The entrants for both greens being:
