Preview of the Division 10 fixtures scheduled for Monday & Tuesday 2&3 February

One point separates the top two teams in Division 10 with four more rounds of fixtures still to play. Two of those rounds to be played this week on consecutive days as teams catch-up on the fixtures postponed on 5 January. The top two are scheduled to play each other on the last day of the season and if they remain one-point apart then it should be a tight affair. Thongsbridge have the edge at present but they have a difficult-looking fixture this Tuesday when they take on third-placed Skel Windmill A. An opening day of the season 4-4 draw remains a blemish on the Thongsbridge record that they will want to avoid for a second time. But if the Skelmanthorpe team have any promotion aspirations of their own this is one match they must win
Rastrick have fixtures this week against two of the bottom three teams who are desperate for points themselves with one of those against an Outlane B team that has won its last two matches. Matches against the bottom three are likely to be tense affairs as teams look to avoid the drop and maybe we should be looking at a bottom four involved in the drop zone. Brockholes E have lost all three of their matches since their name change at Christmas and are being sucked into the scrap to stay out of the relegation places. They will not be granted any concessions this week against Thongsbridge and relegation-threatened clubmates Brockholes D. Holmfirth B sit in the bottom spot at present with matches against the top two still to come, the first of those against Rastrick on Tuesday. It is going to be a rocky ride for a few teams between now and the final day on 16 February.
