Two Division 4 pairs added to next round

Winter League

There were 12 entries for the Division 4 Qualifying Round making three rounds of competition to get down to the final two pairs who will go through to the Round of the Last 20 at Thorpe Green on Friday 20 February.

A Preliminary Round of four matches produced three very close results with no more than 2 points between them. Matches being based on 15-ends or 21-Up whichever came first. There was only one 21-Up all day with the biggest gap in totals coming in the last two matches to determine the two pairs to progress.

In the last two matches, there were two Elland WMC pairs up against two Huddersfield Recreation Club A pairs with clear winners in both and both teams will be represented in the Round of the Last 20. That included last year's runners-up in the competition as once again Trevor Atkinson and Mike Hollingdrake fought their way to the later stages of the competition.

Three rounds of qualifying matches for Divisions 3, 7 and 1 have already been completed before Christmas with the full list of those qualifiers below.

There is still time to enter any of the remaining six Division Qualifying Rounds as listed below. Bowlers only need to have played on League match to qualify to enter. The Online Entry Form is further down this posting and bowlers from Division 2 teams are prompted to get their entries in prior to next Wednesday's deadline.

Online entries for all the above Division Qualifying Rounds are accepted up to 48 hours before the start time using the form below. Next up is the turn of Division 2 bowlers who will play their Qualifying Round on Friday 9 January. Entries are still being invited for that and also the other five divisions that are scheduled on the dates as above. Entrants only need to have played one League match this season to qualify to play in their competition.
