Still waiting for one result to come in before posting the Week 1 review of results and that leaves us time to look forward to the coming week's fixture programme. What an intriguing fixture awaits on Friday evening as the reigning Division 1 Champions, Atkinson Butchers, are playing hosts to 2019 runners-up Alicia Dawn Photography. Home advantage counts for nothing in this confrontation as the home side lost the match on both occasions that these teams met in 2019. That year the runners-up actually ended with the better Win record having won 13 of their 14 matches whereas Atkinsons lost twice that season but it is 'Aggregate For' totals that count in this competition so everything to play for once again. With the teams so closely matched, it could well be that we are already looking at a title decider and still in May.
Before then there are two Division 1 fixtures on Monday evening when Brook Hansen 'A' will aim to build on their opening day victory with an away win at Bolster Moor Farm Shop who will be playing their first match of 2021. Two teams who lost their opening day matches last Monday meet up at Linthwaite Hall when Strait Kutz entertain the Huddersfield Recreation Club team and both will have been heartened by their opening day performances.
There is just one match scheduled for Division 2 this coming week and that will see Brook Hansen 'B' open their season with a trip to the wonderfully unique green at Paddock I&C which is home for the Holme Dresser side on Friday evening. The home side also having the advantage of already playing one match this season when they traveled to beat Pearce Displays on their own Thongsbridge green.
