There is a cracker of a match lined up for the first day of June when the top two in Division 1 meet at Thongsbridge with the top spot up for grabs. There is just one point between current leaders Pudsey 'A' and Thongsbridge 'A' with 3rd placed Lower Hopton 'A' an interested spectator just a further point back. They in turn have a very winnable match at bottom of the table Ossett Flying Horse 'A' so there could even be the third different leader in 3 weeks if results go their way. A tight tussle among the 3 teams and plenty of time for the lead to change a few more times yet. The bottom four teams all have home games this week but with Ossett Flying Horse 'A' 11 points adrift at the foot and having high-flying Lower Hopton 'A' as visitors the real focus will be on the other three to see which one finds themselves in the second relegation place come Wednesday morning.
Whitkirk had a good win in their catch-up match on Friday night with an 11-1 home victory over Eccleshill which lifted them 5 places into 4th spot in the Division 2 table. They now have the chance to go even higher with a trip to Alverthorpe who sit one place above them. Leaders Kirkheaton Con 'A' are away at Pudsey 'B' and will expect to extend their 100% winning record run whilst 2nd placed Woodlands Park will aim to recover from their 2-10 mauling of last week with a home match against Eccleshill this week.
With Littlemoor 'B' having the day off, Dodworth will expect to take over at the top of the Division 3 table which 3 points at Milnsbridge 'A' will ensure but as the home side have lost all 6 of their matches to date the visitors will be looking for more than 3 points and push themselves clear at the top. Third-placed Shipley are at bottom of the division Horbury who find themselves already 16 points from safety so are desperate for some catch-up points.
There are only 3 points between the top four teams in Division 4 and two of those sides meet up this week when leaders Thornhill C&BC entertain Ossett Flying Horse 'B'. Lowerhouses are well-positioned being 2 points behind the leaders with a game in hand and this week they go to play at lowly Mirfield Old Bank. It seems as if it is only a matter of time before they hit the top of the table, could be this week.
Division 5 leaders Morton House have probably their most difficult match of the season this Tuesday when traveling to play 2nd placed Heckmondwike but they are at the top of their game being unbeaten this season with a 9 point lead and on the back of 3 successive 9-1 wins, two of them away from home.
Netherton Con moved into top position in Division 6 after last week's win but will probably lose that lofty position this week as they have the day off and their 3 nearest challengers - Grane Moor, Golcar Lib and Thorpe Green 'A' - all have home fixtures. First they have to rein in that 5 points gap before putting some daylight between themselves and the others. The bottom two teams meet at Almondbury BC where Milnsbridge B are the visitors with 14 points between them and only one win between them as well.
The only unbeaten record in Division 7 belongs to Springwood 'A' and they will defend that at lowly Dalton this week and they will probably need more than their game in hand to overtake leaders Shepley who currently sit 9 points ahead of them. Tucked in between those two sits Royds Park and they have a difficult looking encounter away to 4th placed Broad Oak 'B'. Bottom of the table Thorpe Green 'B' are still looking for their first win of the season and will do well to claim that at Cleckheaton Sports 'C'.
