Winter League

You can view the bowlers with the top averages at any time you like on Bowlsnet and I walk you through how to do that further down. But for now here is a copy of the Top 20 Bowlers in each of the 5 Divisions of the Winter League.
There is a trophy at the end of each season for the Top Bowler in each division. For this competition, we combine the Singles and Pairs scores of all bowlers so that every bowler is involved. Two factors determine the order.
First of all it is sorted by the number of Wins each bowler has won over the season.
Then it is further sorted by the Average which is the Aggregate For total minus the Aggregate Against total divided by the number of games played.
You soon get the hang of this as you look through the latest tables which are listed showing the top 20 bowlers in each division.
You can check the order at any time on Bowlsnet by clicking here for a start then following the instructions below.
Click on AVERAGES from the top border menu.
Then click on SINGLES which is highlighted in yellow.
Then click on ALL GAME TYPES to get the combined scores or Singles or Pairs as you wish and as shown below.

That's all there is to it really. You can play around with these figures by using the downward arrow in the heading to the right of ALL DIVISIONS if you wish.
Looking back a season and the 2021-22 Top Bowlers for each of the three divisions were:
Division 1
Graham Hirst (Lower Hopton)
Division 2
Eddie Haigh (Meltham)
Division 3
David McLean (Thorpe Green C)
