Tony Allen wins MUGS Trophy

Club News


Lindley BC bowler Tony Allen took the Jack Burgin Trophy, otherwise known as the MUGS Trophy, after winning the 2025 competition at Lockwood Con on Sunday. Only open to bowlers who have never won an open competition and there were 16 bowlers that had progressed to Finals Day.


Tony beat Chris English of Marsh Lib 21-13 in the Final with both finalists sneaking through the semi-finals with 21-20 scorelines. Commiserations to the two losing semi-finalists Danny Kilburn of Kirkheaton Con and Mick Higgins Snr of Cowcliffe. Well done to the winner and to Lockwood Con for sponsoring and hosting this competition in memory of their former club member.
