Hemplow are long time leaders of the Division 8 table but their lead is being pecked away at by Lockwood Con C. Only 6 points separate the top two teams with only three matches left to be played. The homesters had a good 8-0 home win over Cowcliffe C to move in on the leaders who were held to a 4-4 draw by Meltham B who are on an upward path after only losing once in their last four fixtures. However they will be aware of the growing presence of Linthwaite Hall B with only two points between the teams now. The Linfit team had a good 6-2 win over Broad Oak B who remain third but with a bigger gap to the promotion places after this week's setback. Golcar C&BC had a 6-2 win over Mirfield B whose promotion bid has surely fizzled out after this latest outcome.

Greenhead Park are joined level at the top of the Division 9 table by Kirkheaton C&BC C after Tuesdays matches. The Kirkheaton team won their fixture 8-0 after overwhelming Brockholes C who remain at the foot of the table. Whereas the Greenhead Park team hard a stiffer task before beating Kirkheaton Con C 6-2 to retain top spot but now only on a better 'Aggregate For' total (619-608).
The top two look like they are starting to pull away from the chasing pack now headed by Marsh Lib B who are 10-points behind the top two after clocking up a first 8-0 victory since the opening day of the season with Mirfield C being on the wrong end of that scoreline. The other fixture saw Kirkheaton C&BC C beat Almondbury BC C 6-2 which leaves the bottom two now well adrift of safety with only four fixtures left to play.
