Winter League
Preview of the matches for Thursday 20 November in Divisions 6&7

Top two versus bottom two in Division 6 this Thursday. The table toppers are Brockholes B and they lead on a better 'Aggregate For' total of 163-162 from Cowcliffe B and they play the bottom two teams in the division. Brockholes B play the Netherton Con B team on their own green whilst Cowcliffe B are up against bottom of the table Hanging Heaton B. Anything other than a win for the top two would be a shock but anything can happen when you are Winter bowling.
There is also a Springwood derby match with the club's B and C teams locked together on 10-points just one place above the relegation places so plenty to play for as well as the local bragging rites. Outlane A versus Almondbury BC A complete the Thursday programme. The Almondbury team will be fresh from their first win of the season last week and are just two points behind their Thursday opponents so plenty to play for.

Huddersfield have opened up a 6-points lead at the top of the Division 7 table and will expect to protect that lead when they play New Mill C this week. Any drop in standards could see the two teams behind them start to take a greater interest in happenings. Kirkheaton Con B and Holmfirth are locked together on 24-points and they play the two teams holding downing the relegation places at present - Broad Oak A and Lockwood Con B.
There are two teams holding down the mid-table positions of 4th and 5th, both nearer the bottom than the top in points terms. Marsh Lib A and Huddersfield Recreation Club B will both be aware that a poor result from this encounter could see them catapulted into the nether regions never to surface again.
