Review of the Division 1 fixtures played at Milnsbridge on Wednesday 19 November

The Division 1 reigning Champions, Thorpe Green A, completed their immediate defence of that title with a second win against a prime challenger. A 6-2 win over second placed Cowcliffe A pushed that challenge aside for now along with the previous week's whitewash win over Hanging Heaton A to leave themselves seven points clear at the top and the only team in the division with a 100% win record intact.
However the Hanging Heaton side showed that they haven't gone away after a 6-2 win over Kirkheaton Con A kept them very much in the title frame. After a slow start to the season Lower Hopton have picked up the pace after a second successive win this time by 8-0 over Lindley BC A who drop into the relegation places as a result.
New Mill A also left their early season form behind them as they beat Golcar Lib 6-2 to leave the losers firmly anchored to the foot of the table and still seeking that first win of the campaign.
