Team KO Finalists still dominating

This Friday sees the first 2026 Final of one of the Veterans League team competitions as Longwood and Golcar Lib A go up against each other at Kirkheaton Con. The Longwood team are aiming for a third consecutive title, whilst a win for the Golcar Lib team would make them a five-times winner having also won the title in 1995 and 2012.

The last six Team KO Finals have all included one of this year's finalists, as Longwood and Golcar Lib A have dominated the competition since the Covid interruption. Whichever of them wins the title this year will clinch a hat-trick of wins in the new Millenium. Not forgetting Cowcliffe's involvement in three consecutive finals, each time as the beaten finalists. They do not feature this year, but it is worth noting that they were eliminated in the opening round - by Golcar Lib A.
