Winter League

A look at the week's results to tease out an interesting(?) fact or two for your information although they exclude the Division 1 Wednesday fixtures which were all postponed. That was the first set of matches lost at Milnsbridge this season whilst our other two greens have already lost at least one date. Springwood cancelled all their opening day programme (as they did in 2020) on 20 October whllst Mondays have been less favoured with good weather and two dates have been lost already on the 1st and 29th of November at Thorpe Green.

The top individual performances of the week saw Eddie Haigh of Meltham take the biggest Singles win with a 21-1 victory whilst in the Pairs the top result of the week came in the rearranged Division 1 match between Thorpe Green 'A' and Milnsbridge 'A' where the Thorpe Green pairing of David Frost and Martyn Skuse clocked up a 21-3 win.

Most interesting scoreline to come out of the last week was the Springwood 'A' aggregate win of 63-54 over Almondbury BC with three identical 21-18 game scores.

Dalton beat two league records this week although they probably didn't realise it. Their 4-4 draw with Rastrick 'B' was their third consecutive drawn match and also took their season total of draws to three which are both league records.

Lower Hopton and Meltham may be in different divisions but they are in close competition to see which of them claims the end of season highest total number of points with Meltham currently leading the way 59-58. This is likely to be a closer contest than the division honours chase with both well out in front with identical 8-0 win records.
