A defeat for the Division 3 leaders opened up the title chase as Slaithwaite go down 2-6 to Almondbury BC B. That reduced the leaders lead from 6 to 2 points with Denby Dale joining in the action at the top of the table. They beat Lindley Lib B 6-2 to nudge Thorpe Green C aside after they lost 2-6 to bottom team Lockwood Con A who moved up a place but remain in the relegation places.

With only 24 points between the top and bottom teams there are still a lot of points to be won and dreams and fears realised. A 4-4 draw between Denby Dale and Lindley Lib B didn't improve either team's chances of moving into contention at the top of the table but it didn't entirely jeopardise them either.

Mirfield Old Bank tightened their grip on the Division 5 title after beating relegation-threatened Thorpe Green B with an 8-0 whooping of the struggling team who are in danger of succumbing to a second consecutive relegation. The leaders cause was certainly helped by Milnsbridge C taking points off their main challenger and neighbour Mirfield A in a 4-4 draw.

Jackson Bridge moved back into the promotion race after beating Dalton 6-2 to reduce the gap to the second promotion place to just four points. Paddock I&C eased any immediate fears of getting involved in the relegation fight with a 6-2 win over Kirkhaeton C&BC A but they still have work to do to completely vanquish any such thoughts.
