Rearranged Fixtures

Division 2 (Cowcliffe) The matches postponed on Tuesday 6 January will now be played on Monday 19 January Bowlsnet has been updated with all the rearranged fixtures

New Mill B have jumped two places to take the second promotion spot in the Division 2 table after an 8-0 win over Lowerhouses B. That result coupled with big defeats for Lindley Lib A and Lowerhouses A saw the Division 2 new boys shake up the running order and make their stake for Division 1 action next season. Things are still very congested behind the runaway leaders, Clayton West, with four teams now in contention for the second promotion place.

Clayton West extended their lead at the top to 21 points after damaging Lowerhouses A's promotion hopes by beating them 8-0. Milnsbridge A made their own bid for a top two place after beating Lindley Lib A 6-2 and are now 6 points off that coveted second promotion spot.

The Meltham A team picked up from where they left off before the Christmas break and extended their winning run to four matches with a 6-2 win over Marsh United and now sit one point behind their Tuesday opponents. If they are to engineer the Great Escape then they will have to do it the hard way as their next three opponents are the top three in the table but for now they will welcome an upsurge in form that will feed their need to have a chance of avoiding the big drop.
