Veterans League

There were three previous winners of the coveted Rose Bowl title in the 41 entries for this year's competition. They were Graham Brook (Netherton Con)(2011 & 2013), Ian Briggs (Longwood)(2022), Graham Hirst )(2023 & 2024). All three were eliminated on Thursday in the opening rounds of the 2026 competition held on two greens. In addition there was at least one surprise result. Well it was a surprise to the two participants in the first pairing in the Round of 32 below. I am not sure if there are any benefits to eliminating your team captain but will report back on that reaction in due course.

The full set of results from the opening two rounds is below along with the draw for the Round of the Last 16 to be played on Thursday 27 August on a green still to be confirmed. The final will be played at Holmfirth on Thursday 10 September.
