Review of the Tuesday results in Divisons 1&2 of the 10-Man League

With the Kirkheaton Con A versus Longwood Division 1 fixture postponed a good 7-2 away win for Rastrick at third-placed Lindley Lib A enabled them to overtake all three of those teams and go second in the table. They are still some 13 points behind the leaders, Lowerhouses, who had a comfortable 6-3 away win at Lockwood Con A which saw the losers drop back into the relegation places.
The Elland derby match went the way of the home side, Elland WMC, by 6-3, but that didn't stop Elland C&BC moving up two places to 4th. The inconsistent Clayton West team knocked up a good 7-2 away win at Golcar Lib A which lifted them out of the drop zone whilst Cowcliffe remain rooted to bottom place after losing 3-6 at Marsh United A.

The top two teams in Division 2 both won away games on Tuesday but still swapped positions as Meltham A passed Netherton Con A after a 7-2 win at lowly Hemplow A. That dumped the Hemplow team in bottom place as they were passed by Broad Oak A who had a surprising and welcome away win at Waterloo. Netherton Cons 6-3 win at Almondbury Lib may not have been enough to keep them top of the table but it did secure the second promotion place although Lindley BC A closed the gap to 2 points after they won 8-1 at home to Milnsbridge A who were losing for the third consecutive week by the same 1-8 scoreline.
Shepley remain very much in the relegation mix after losing 2-7 away at Denby Dale who move up one place to 4th place with the same Won-6 Lost-2 record which all four of the leading group can boast. Thongsbridge A ended a run of four straight wins when losing 3-6 away at Almondbury BC and drop three places as a result.
