Inconsiderate car parking at Milnsbridge is threatening the free parking future. Residents around the Milnsbridge BC green have complained to the club about instances of cars being double-parked and parking on road corners which is causing concerns among local residents. It is in danger of getting to the stage where residents launch a campaign to introduce permit-only parking in the area.

We have had more complaints from the residents living near the bowling club.
Bowlers on Wednesdays have been double parking and also parking on the corner of Bowling Street and Craven Street. This is not only dangerous but prevents large vehicles such as fire tender from gaining access.
We are appealing for all bowlers to park with care even if it means a short walk to the club.
If things do not improve it is likely the local residents will apply to Kirklees for a resident-only parking area.
Obviously we don’t want this to happen as we would then have the same problems as some other clubs have regarding car parking.
