Veterans League
There were 16 teams named in the Preliminary Round of the Julie Fuller Trophy but only 10 of them took to the green last Thursday. Four teams withdrew giving byes to Greenhead Park B, Almondbury Lib, Netherton Con and Linthwaite Hall. There were no surprise results from the five ties that were actually played.
The 2023 winners of this competition were Netherton Con and they were one of the four benefactors of the withdrawals and they will continue their interest in retaining the title with a Round of the Last 32 match against Division 2 side Golcar Lib. There are two all-Division 1 clashes within that draw with Skel Windmill A playing Crosland Moor and Paddock I&C drawn against Golcar C&BC. The full draw is listed below which also records a fifth withdrawal as Lindley Lib B have stepped down providing Bradley & Colne a pathway through to the last sixteen.
