Reigning Over-80's KO Champion Frank Greenwood has progressed to Finals Day of the 2023 competition in search of a third consecutive title. He will be a strong favourite to complete the hat-trick on his home green after beating Hemplow bowler John Cocking 21-12 in Thursday's quarter-finals played at Thongsbridge.
In the semi-finals Frank will meet his long-time Inter-District teammate Eddie Haigh of Lockwood Con after he defeated Waterloo pairs bowler Alan Stephenson by 21-18. In the other half of the draw Trevor Sykes benefitted from Frank Griffin's no-show to go through to Finals Day where he will meet Skel Windmill stalwart Manuel Martinho who defeated Cowcliffe bowler Edwin Siswick 21-11 who has only played in this competition this season.
