Golcar Lib lost 0-8 to the Division 1 leaders, Thorpe Green A, but that doesn't tell half of the story. Playing without their captain, they lost two of the three games by 20-21 and the other to 15. That is cruel. When a team has gone all season without a win to then see them miss out with a 55-63 aggregate loss against the reigning Champions is just not fair. Surely that first win cannot be far away now.

Lower Hopton emphasised their commitment to push the leaders all the way by avenging a first-day defeat by Hanging Heaton A by beating them by the same 6-2 scoreline. They now sit 9 points behind the leaders awaiting any dip in circumstances to move in on a third title for themselves.

There was a first drawn Division 1 match this season when New Mill A and Cowcliffe shared the points and a third 5-3 scoreline of the season when Lindley BC A saw off Kirkheaton Con A to extend the gap between the relegation places and safety to 9 points. At the end of another day of Division 1 fixtures all eight teams finished in exactly the same positions as they started it despite the best efforts of all eight.
