Review of the Divisions 1&2 results from Tuesday's matches in the 10-Man League

The top two teams in Division 1 were both involved in 8-1 scorelines on Tuesday, one winning and one losing by that score. The leaders, Lowerhouses, beating Elland WMC to go 12 points clear at the top of the table. Despite losing 1-8 away at Rastrick, Kirkheaton Con A hang on to second place. The five teams behind the leaders are now just separated by two points while the gap between 2nd and 12th is only 10 points so a couple of good wins can change everything.
The bottom two are locked together on 25 points and both suffered 3-6 reversals this week. Clayton West going down at home to an improving Lindley Lib side that has won 4 of their last 5 fixtures. Cowcliffe were the other casualty losing 3-6 away at Elland C&BC to drop back down to bottom place which had been vacated by Lockwood Con A who had a surprise first win in six with a 7-2 score at Golcar Lib A. Longwood may be on the mend after a barren couple of Tuesdays as they beat Marsh United A with a 7-2 home win.

No change in the running order at the top of Division 2 as the top three all recorded good home wins. The most emphatic of that trio of wins came from second-placed Meltham A with a 9-0 routing of Almondbury Lib who drop a place to eighth as a result. Netherton Con A held on to top spot after a 6-3 win over Waterloo due to a three-point better Aggregate For score of 921-918 over Meltham. That win over Waterloo left the losers in free-fall after losing their last three matches, albeit they were all against the top three teams in the Division.
Thongsbridge A stay third after beating Shepley 7-2 but those two points lifted Shepley even further away from the relegation places overtaking a Milnsbridge A team that surprisingly lost 1-8 at home to Almondbury BC A
Lindley BC A and Denby Dale, both won away games this week against bottom two opposition. Lindley Lib getting an 8-1 win over Hemplow A and Denby Dale getting seven of the points at Broad Oak A. Those results saw the two winners take up the places behind the top three and condemn the two losers to another week in the relegation spotlight.
