ALL OUR YESTERDAYS - 72 years ago in 1949
Four years ago the Newsome green was lost to a greedy developer and with it went a lot of history. Not just associated with Newsome teams as the green was a favourite with the County for hosting top matches. The newspaper photograph below shows action in the Yorkshire v Lancashire match that was played there in 1949.
