New Milnsbridge Friday League

League News

A new League has been formed and takes its initial step forward a week on Friday (27 October) with eight teams playing at Milnsbridge BC. The eight teams will be playing every Friday through the Winter months in four-man teams with an 11.00am start time.

The format is 4 singles games in each match for the first 7 fixtures following which they will switch to 2 pairs games for the next 7 fixtures. It is a mixed-gender competition with the age limit restricting the competition to the Over-50's.

The fixtures are now on Bowlsnet and the eight teams involved are representing Elland WMC, Golcar Lib, Greetland, Kirkheaton Con, Lowerhouses, New Mill, Slaithwaite and Thorpe Green.

Ian Briggs and Lorraine Hirst are the prime movers of the new competition and we wish them well in establishing the League and providing more bowling action through the winter months.
