New BCGBA CEO appointment

Bowling News

Paul Ashmore has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer for the BCGBA. Paul has held the post of BCGBA Lead Safeguarding Officer for a number of years and is from the Cheshire CCGBA where he holds the office of Honorary Treasurer.

Jim McGurk has been appointed as the new BCGBA National Administrator.

Jim also comes from Cheshire CCGBA where he holds the positions of Deputy President and Honorary General Secretary.

Both these gentlemen are effectively internal appointments as they held positions previously with the BCGBA. This has caused some activity on social media websites with concerns that this will result in more of the same rather than radical action to address the plummeting numbers of bowlers that many feel is now required.

The official notice from the BCGBA of the appointments of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and National Administrator is below. Ironically the notice was signed off by Jim McGurk the new National Administrator announcing his own appointment and wishing himself every success in the future!.
